BMW is taking the 7 Series back to its roots by endowing the fifth-generation model, captured here for the first time, with a much sleeker and more cohesive profile than today's car.
Due in North American showrooms in early 2009, Munich's flagship sedan will get a thorough makeover styled after the third-generation model launched in 1994.
"The 7 Series will have been in production for 30 years in 2007, and we're keen to reflect some of that history within the appearance of the new model,'' says a BMW source.
