LEBANON, Tenn. -- CBRL GROUP INC. reported same-store sales gains at both its CRACKER BARREL OLD COUNTRY STORE and LOGAN'S ROADHOUSE brands for the four weeks ended Sept. 22, helped by higher average checks and higher menu prices than a year earlier. The company also lapped negative sales trends from a year ago, when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. For this year's fiscal September, same-store restaurant sales at Cracker Barrel increased 3.8 percent, which reflected upticks of 1.2 percent in the chain's average check and 0.9 percent in average menu pricing.
