Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City to build ties with Czech Republic.

Section: Regional News - Ho Chi Minh City will play an active role in strengthening economic ties with the Czech Republic in order to raise the effectiveness of trade and investment relations between the two sides, said the city People's Committee Chairman, Le Hoang Quan.

Quan made the statement at a meeting with President Vaclav Klaus, who visited Ho Chi Minh City as part of his five-day visit to Vietnam.

Quan said the President's visit affirmed the aspirations of leaders and people from both countries to raise traditional friendship and co-operation between the two sides to a higher level.

Quan asked President Vaclav Klaus to exploit the relationship already created between Vietnam and the Czech Republic by the thousands of Vietnamese who have worked or studied in the Czech Republic, in order to boost …
