Thomson Learning shines online spotlight on rare WW2 files
A new digital archive will provide academics, students and researchers with online access to rare Foreign Office files charting conditions in occupied Europe during World War 2. The Conditions & Politics in Occupied Western Europe 1940-1945 archive has been created by Thomson Learning in co-operation with the National Archives. It is the first time that the 22,000 items, which include ambasadorial dispatches, letters from foreign diplomats, telegrams, memos and news cuttings, have been put together as a single digital resource. Users can search by file number, database section, country, the name of a senior official and document type. Thomson has also included a number of essays from leading scholars.
