Directory bright spot for B2B info
Europe's business information market is still experiencing slow growth, says a report.
Market analyst company IRN Research found that business-to-business (B2B) information in Europe grew by only 2.1% last year.
Journals and magazines still dominated the market, bringing home 40.4% of its 28.7bn euros revenue. But B2B directories and databases were the fastest-growing business products, with sales rising by 5.87%.
Although the largest part of the B2B information market, journals and magazines had a difficult year. Their advertising revenue share slipped as journal and magazine publishers struggled to provide online services to readers and advertisers.
"The move to web delivery has been slower in the journals and magazine sectors and has yet to bring in significant revenues," said the report.
