Each year, the Potash & Phosphate Institute (PPI) makes the Robert E. Wagner Award to two agronomic scientists who have made outstanding contributions to advanced crop yields though research on maximum economic yields (MEY). The Award honours Dr. Robert E. Wagner, retired President of the PPI, in recognition of his many achievements, including his promotion of the MEY concept for profitable and efficient agriculture.

The Award has two categories: Senior Scientist and Young Scientist, under the age of 45. Dr. David E. Kissel, Professor and Director, Agricultural and Environmental Services Laboratories University of Georgia, receives the Senior Scientist Award, while …
