EMC tackles web content
Information management and storage supplier EMC Documentum has become the latest large-scale vendor to enter the web content management arena with the launch of EMC Documentum Page Builder for organisations that want to develop individual websites.
Balaji Yelamanchili, senior vice president for content management and archiving at EMC Documentum, said: "Page Builder simplifies the process of creating, managing and deploying websites, empowering business users to be more involved and have more control over web content."
The application has a graphical user interface for designing websites, and builds sites using components of headers, footers and navigation tools. Users can also deploy Dreamweaver templates.
EMC developed the Page Builder application using the Documentum enterprise content management platform as its backbone.
