(Brocade(R)) today announced that the Brocade SilkWorm(R) 7500 Switch will be added to the EMC(R) Select product portfolio, further extending Brocade's reach as the industry's only end-to-end provider of 4 Gbit/sec Storage Area Network (SAN) technology. The EMC Select Program provides convenient access to products from industry-leading vendors that are qualified for use in EMC-based solutions.

In addition, EMC is now offering the SilkWorm FR4-18i Blade for the SilkWorm 48000 Director as the EMC Connectrix(R) PB-48000B-18i Blade for the EMC Connectrix ED-48000B. With these additions, customers will now be able to purchase a full range of next-generation, high-performance SAN solutions based on Brocade technology directly from EMC.
