The war against HIV/AIDS received a boost yesterday in Dar es Salaam after the Japanese government and the Ministry of Finance signed a grant agreement worth 3.5bn shillings (341m yen [approximately 2.8m US dollars]).

According to both Japan's charge d' Affaires, Hiroto Hirakoba, and deputy permanent secretary, Ministry of Finance, Joyce Mapunjo, the grant will be used in controlling the pandemic.
