THE Officer in Charge of Investigations has warned parents to beware of strangers who befriend their children, saying cases of child kidnapping are on the rise.

Ms Christine Nanding sounded the warning on Tuesday.

She said cases of child kidnapping have been reported in different parts of Mbarara district, especially in the densely populated Kakoba Division.

Last week, three children were kidnapped in Nyamityobora and Kakoba wards in Kakoba Division.

Two of them are still missing and the suspects are still at large.
