Taipei, Sept. 29, 2006 (CENS)--Taiwan's average real regular monthly pay for employees witnessed a negative annual growth of 0.15% to NT$34,624 (US$1,049.2 at US$1 = NT$33) in the first seven months of this year, according to the statistics released by the Cabinet-level Directorate General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics (DGBAS)

This was the third consecutive yearly drop of real monthly pay for domestic employees, indicating falling expenditure by consumers.
