Heavenly weather. Professional golfers. NASCAR stars. It was all more than enough to make work and school seem optional this week as the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn got into gear. The pleasures of a PGA tournament event beckoned as adults and kids sloughed off obligations to indulge in the experience.
