THE People's Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday adopted proposals to allow new party members seek political office on its platform. Proposals were also set for the screening of aspirants ahead of the 2007 general elections.

The proposal clearing the way for fresh party members to seek political office was last night interpreted as a strategy to get some credible aspirants including Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to fly the party flag in the 2007 elections.
