Three Malaysian firms bid for Indian oil and gas blocks.

THREE Malaysian companies are bidding for oil and gas blocks onshore and offshore India under the country's Sixth New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP-VI).

Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), M3nergy Bhd and Suiwah Corp Bhd, together with their respective consortium partners, submitted bids for the blocks when the deadline closed on September 15.

An Indian Government official said Petronas is bidding for two shallow water blocks offshore Mumbai and Krishna-Godavari.
