DEPOSED PRESIDENT JOSEPH Estrada yesterday dismissed the petition for a peoples initiative to change the Constitution as a Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo initiative.

In a statement from his estate in Tanay, Rizal, where he is detained, Estrada also took to task Solicitor General Eduardo Nachura for defending the initiative before the Supreme Court when he should have been defending the Commission on Elections decision to junk it.

Estrada referred to the initiative as this farce.
