Supporting AMD Opteron 2000 series processors, Altus 1600 and 2600 Linux servers are based on AMD64 technology and have form factor of 1U and 2U, respectively. Features include SATA, SCSI, and SAS storage options, and slots for PCI Express serial I/O technology to accommodate cluster fabrics and enterprise-class storage adapters. Incorporating up to 24 GB of DDR2 memory, servers provide 2 x 1 MB level 2 cache memory and HyperTransport bus for data transfer.
