Sep. 21--Warren officials may create an ordinance banning "fight clubs" from gathering in public places after learning of a group of high school students getting together for fights in city parks.
"These fights are unsupervised and dangerous," said Warren Mayor Steenbergh said in a statement. "The taxpayers cannot afford the liability of such behavior in our parks."
A school liaison officer learned of one fight club three weeks ago from students at Lincoln High School in Warren. The teens involved, mostly from Lincoln and Cousino high schools, refer to themselves as the South Warren Knockouts.
