The ALA-APA Certified Public Library Administrator (CPLA) Program Certification Review Committee has approved two new online courses--Budget and Finance, and Organization and Personnel Management--the first library-school-sponsored courses to be offered for the CPLA program by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Robert Burger, UIUC professor and associate university librarian for services, will teach the courses.
The CPLA program is a voluntary post-MLS certification program for public librarians with three years or more of supervisory experience.
