Around one million new voters have been registered in the past month.
And more than one million have switched to different places in a move that could have a bearing on the result of the Presidential election, next year.
Mr Nelson Shabaan, a registration clerk at Muguga Green station in Westlands, gives Ms Janet Nyambura her voting card. Many people turned up at registration centres countrywide to beat the deadline.
Details of the just concluded registration push - obtained independently by the Nation - show that Rift Valley has most voters in Kenya, with more than 200,000 new voters raising its total voting power to 2.8 million.
