President Kibaki's much anticipated trip to Western province ended dramatically yesterday after all Luhya politicians were sidelined at a high-profile function in Kakamega town.

Neither the President nor the Catholic church Bishops who hosted him at Bukhungu stadium recognised the presence of five Cabinet ministers and other MPs from the region who had put aside their political differences to welcome him to the town.
