Bursa probes Sanichi shares short-sell claim.

BURSA Malaysia is investigating possible short-selling activities involving shares of Sanichi Technology Bhd, a maker of plastic injection moulds which listed last week.

The firm had written in to the stock market regulator recently on the matter, company sources told Business Times.

"Bursa Malaysia has received a complaint relating to short-selling of Sanichi shares. The complaint is being investigated and appropriate action will be taken should any securities offence be disclosed," a spokesperson from the Securities Commission said in reply to queries from Business Times. …
