The purpose of Papstreskripte im fruben Mittelalter: diplomatische und rechtsgeschichtliche Studien zum Brief-Corpus Gregors des Grossen, by Ernst Pitz (Sigmaringen: Jan Thorbecke, 1990; pp. 382.
