Sep. 8--When Northwestern University junior Ben Parr rolled out of bed Tuesday morning, he logged on to Facebook.com, like millions of other college students. But when he discovered a new feature that automatically alerts users when a friend posts a message or alters her profile on Facebook, he decided to launch a cyber-protest against the popular social networking site. "It was too much information," he said of the feature, called News Feed. "There are some things that don't need to be broadcast to everyone at once."
