SA reluctant to ease regulation World Bank Nations elsewhere in Africa 'making significant strides', with two-thirds taking action to make it easier to do business Trade and Industry Correspondent SA's reluctance to ease business regulations has caused it to slip in the rankings in a World Bank global survey on ease of doing business.

Factors gauged in the study were: employment of people, licensing, property registration, credit funding, investor protection, tax, cross-border trading, enforcing contracts, and the starting and closing of businesses.
