Sep. 7--An argument between two men escalated into gunfire Wednesday afternoon a short distance from the West Charlotte High School campus, leaving one man dead.

The shooting suspect was arrested Wednesday evening.

Police identify the victim as Antonio Londale Raye, 18.

The suspect in custody is Randall Adams Jr., 17.

Adams is in Mecklenburg County Jail this morning, charged with murder. He faces a first court hearing Friday afternoon.

Police have released few details in the case, but witnesses say the men were not students at West Charlotte High.

The shooting took place shortly about 3:30…
