Sep. 6--One of two high-performance boats in the crash that killed five people on Lake Texoma last weekend was speeding along the shoreline at up to 75 mph just beforehand, the boat driver's son said Tuesday.

Jason Mineo said witnesses have described the speed of his father's boat, and they also say the boats were headed in different directions. But Oklahoma investigators said it was too soon to speculate on those reports.

So far, no one has stepped forward to give a better description of Saturday's crash, Mr. Mineo said. "It seemed like everybody else was turned the other way," he said.
