Sep. 6--Dallas City Hall should close Reunion Arena by mid-2008 then attempt to sell the money-losing downtown facility or convert it into a gambling casino, the city's economic development staff will recommend to the City Council.
The proposed two-year grace period would allow Reunion Arena to clear its calendar of scheduled and contracted events, "and waiting two years positions us for its ultimate sale," Assistant City Manager Ryan Evans said.
