Solcara targets disaster zone

Large organisations need an information management tool to cope with disaster scenarios, according to information management and search software specialist Solcara, which has created just such a tool.

Crisis Control Centre (CCC) is based on existing Solcara software and aims to bring an organisation's team together in a virtual online environment to share information and to keep the organisation afloat in the event of disaster, such as last year's Bunsfield oil depot explosion.

"Most organisations have a contingency plan in place, but there are no tools on the market," said Solcara marketing executive Helen Dibble.
