Sep. 2--In a first look at recommendations for what could be one of the biggest school bond issues in the state, the Olathe school board had some reservations. Chiefly, a proposal to move sixth-graders to junior high schools and ninth-graders to high schools raised concerns at Thursday's special board meeting. Based on the recommendations presented by a bond task force, a proposed bond issue could range from $347 million to $367 million. If approved by the school board, it could go to voters next year. Possible property tax increases were not researched or discussed by the task force. Recommendations address district growth…
