Sep. 2--In a first look at recommendations for what could be one of the biggest school bond issues in the state, the Olathe school board had some reservations. Chiefly, a proposal to move sixth-graders to junior high schools and ninth-graders to high schools raised concerns at Thursday's special board meeting. Based on the recommendations presented by a bond task force, a proposed bond issue could range from $347 million to $367 million. If approved by the school board, it could go to voters next year.
