TRAFFIC COP-OUT I had to laugh after reading the item about the number of police officers, vehicles, and so on available to the Nelson Mandela Metropole (Did You Hear? August 4).

My pharmacy is situated in a side street off the main road in the little town of Despatch.

Right outside my pharmacy are the only parking spaces in the whole area demarcated for handicapped persons. Often emergency patients park there, rush into the pharmacy to leave the script for later delivery and rush out. Recently a traffic officer has been ticketing these patients (R200/ticket). …
