With the P46.4-billion supplemental budget clearing the Lower House on final reading last Wednesday, the Senate finance committee said that the upper legislative chamber would pass it by mid-September.
Committee chairman Senator Franklin M. Drilon yesterday said his group will have the additional appropriations measure sent to the floor by Sept. 11, debated on and passed within that week.
"We intend to work on it quickly because the 2007 budget has already been submitted to Congress by the President," he said.
