The House of Representatives yesterday approved on third and final reading P46.4-billion supplemental appropriation for this year with a 173-3 vote, a week after the dismissal of the impeachment complaint against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
House Speaker Jose C. de Venecia, in an earlier statement, said that the supplemental budget would "augment priority expenditures that cannot be sufficiently covered by the reenacted budget."
On Tuesday, the supplemental budget was approved on second reading with the inclusion of several amendments.
