Section: General News - H.E. Dr. Kantathi Suphamongkhon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with H.E. Mr. Celso Amorim, Minister of External Relations of Brazil, on 28 August 2006 in Brasilia. They had very fruitful discussions on bilateral and multilateral issues, as follows: - Chicken Export to EU The two sides will forge an alliance to negotiate with the EU on its new tariff regime and quota system to be imposed on salted chicken of Brazil and cooked chicken export of Thailand.

At present, both salted and cooked chicken exports are subject to 15.4% and 10.9%, respectively. Yet under the new tariff regime, they will be …
