Section: General News - A suspicious object was found near caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's Bangkok residence Monday morning, setting off a new round of bombing fears and was reported to authorities but police later determined it to be an intentional hoax.

Found in a plastic bag reportedly inscribed with a rude message for Mr. Thaksin, the suspicious package was ticking.

The early morning discovery at about 06:00 a.m. made behind Siam Commercial Bank's Sirindhorn Branch--a few hundred metres from the prime minister's residence.
