Aug. 28--Students in Horry County go back to school today, many to walk down familiar hallways, to sit in well-used desks and to crack open textbooks that have been studied year after year.
But not at Ocean Bay Elementary School. Everything is brand-new in the $14 million school that will open for the first time today to serve the Carolina Forest area's rampant growth that has already brought the school's enrollment close to capacity.
"Every day is like Christmas," said school principal Emily Rose last week as furniture, equipment and other packages arrived at the school.
