Aug. 26--Although women will be "carded" at pharmacies to verify age, local health experts predict that making the "morning-after" pill available over-the-counter will make it easier to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Dr. Rachel Masch, associate director of the Family Planning division at Bellevue Hospital Center, said allowing the controversial contraceptive, known as Plan B, to be sold without prescription later this year to women over 18 was "a good start."
