As the Indy car series heads for its final two races of 2006, it's time for a game of half-full, half-empty, where everything depends on perspective.
Team Penske driver Sam Hornish Jr. regained the Indy Racing League's points lead Sunday, and he would like to start the engine on his third championship in six years.
But after winning the race at Kentucky Speedway for his record-extending 18th career IRL win, things will not be so easy the rest of the way.
Next up is the road-course race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Hornish hasn't fared well on road courses, and as he pointed out he has only seven road-course starts in the past seven years.
"Helio [Castroneves] probably has 70,'' Hornish said of his teammate.
Advantage: Castroneves.
