UW football: Pressley packs powerful punch.

Aug. 20--After offensive lineman Aaron Gibson came through the University of Wisconsin football program, strength and conditioning coach John Dettmann thought some of the team's weightlifting records had been established for good. Then along came fullback Chris Pressley.
In strength testing 10 days after the conclusion of spring practice, Pressley set the team squat record at 770 pounds, demolishing Gibson's old record of 740. Gibson, who was a senior in 1998, was believed to have weighed about 400 pounds when he set the record. Pressley weighed 273. Pressley said he also broke his position record for the clean at 420 pounds, which was 10 pounds better than Cecil Martin, who held the previous record.
