To mark Tulsa, Oklahoma's Golden Jubilee in 1957, officials buried a brand-new '57 Plymouth Belvedere. Next June 15, the car will be unearthed for the Oklahoma centennial, and will be given to the person (or that person's heirs) who in 1957 best predicted Tulsa's 2007 population. The car was covered with metal preservative, wrapped in plastic and placed in a concrete and steel box, but Belvederes were prone to severe rust, and the capsule has not been maintained.
