A 14-year-old girl filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles, California, Unified School District, contending they wrongly disciplined her for wearing condoms on her clothes to promote safe sex.

The federal civil rights suit, filed by Astrianna Johnson and the American Civil Liberties Union, contends that the school district violated Johnson's right to free speech and self-expression.
