BANGKOK, Aug. 11: A computerised system that detects lost and stolen passports, currently being tested in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, may be expanded to other Asia Pacific countries to help deter the criminal passport trade.

Assets frozen, pak arrests climb to 7 Agencies LONDON, Aug. 11: Britain today froze the assets of 19 of the 24 people arrested on suspicion of plotting to detonate explosives on 10 US-bound flights. Naming the 19 suspects, the Bank of England said it would be an offence to make their money available without a licence from the Treasury. Mr Ed Balls, economic secretary to the Treasury, said in a statement that the decision to take financial action was taken on the advice of police and security services.
