Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (Iffco) achieved a sales turnover of Rup 99.53 bn and a net profit of Rup 3.41 bn for FY 2005-2006, making it the biggest non-listed entity in India based on turnover. Iffco has floated Indo-Egyptian Fertiliser Co, a 76:24 venture with state-owned Egyptian firm El Nasr Mining Co, as part of a bid to realize backward and forward linkages in the fertilizer industry.
