Thailand: Bangkok Bank may open fifth branch in China.

Section: Corporate News - Bangkok Bank Plc (BBL) is considering opening a fifth branch in China, with an application likely to be submitted by the end of the year, the Bangkok Post reports.

Chairman Chatri Sophonpanich said Guangzhou was one of three areas in the fast booming southern part of China being considered for the new branch.

Bangkok Bank currently operates branches in Shanghai, Shantou, Xiamen and Beijing, as well as two branches in Hong Kong.
