Oklahoma's Aug. 22 runoff election will be one of fewer than a dozen held in various states, most of them in the South. In addition to a Republican runoff for the 5th Congressional District, the state will have runoffs for both parties' nominations for lieutenant governor, two district attorney runoffs, two in the state Senate and nine for state House seats. The general election is scheduled for Nov. 7. Florida abolished its runoff primary system last year.
