from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Jakarta, Aug. 6 (ANTARA) - Indonesia recorded an export value of US$8.48 billion in June 2006, showing a 1.70 percent increase over US$8.34 billion in May 2006 and hitting a record high in the history of Indonesia's exports
However, the growth in the export value was followed by a 12.00 percent rise in Indonesia's import value from US$5.06 billion in May to US$5.67 billion in June 2006, according to data presented by the Central Board of Statistics (BPS)
The rise in the value of Indonesia's overall exports was attributable to the growth of non-oil/gas exports by 2.38 percent, to US$6,709.0 million in June 2006 from US$6,552.9 million in the previous month, while the value of oil/gas exports was down by 0.82 percent from US$1,789.1 million to US$1,774.4 million in the same period
