from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency PUTRAJAYA, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- A special meeting of several leaders of Islamic countries to discuss escalating violence in Lebanon and Palestine began here today

The Meeting of Friends of the Chairman of the 10th Islamic Summit Conference is being attended by several Heads of State and Government and Foreign Ministers of 18 member countries who confirmed their participation in the meeting

They are expected to issue a declaration condemning Israeli offensive in Lebanon and call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire
