EDITORIAL: Minimum wage weigh-in time: Increase or not?(Editorial)
Aug. 3--Congress is looking at increasing the minimum wage. The package, sponsored by Republicans, would increase the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 per hour and the increase would be phased in throughout the next three years. The House has already approved the bill and now it is awaiting U.S. Senate action. Here is a little history on the origin of the U.S. minimum wage, according to www.wikipedia.com.
