Text of report on a statement by Shaykh Sa'd al-Burayk entitled: "Divisions, disputes and abandonment the Muslim community are a great evil and undermine security" published by Saudi newspaper Al-Jazirah website on 28 July

His Eminence Shaykh Dr Sa'd Bin-Abdallah al-Burayk, well-known preacher, member of the teaching staff at the Teachers College and the supervisor in charge of the cooperative officials for the call, guidance and enlightenment of foreign communities in Riyadh's Al-Badi'ah and Al-Sina'iyah neighbourhood, has issued a warning against divisions, disagreements and abandonment of the Muslim community. He said: This is a great corruption and a significant evil that undermines security and causes the loss of rights and the violation of sanctities.

He emphasized that obedience to God, His messenger and the country's rulers is the way to consensus and unity. He added that sins and conflicts lead to divisions and failure, noting that the avoidance of controversy and nonsensical debates is the way to unity. He declared that …
