Hosts Botswana Defence Force (BDF) are the 2006. International Military Sports Council (CISM) and Eastern and Southern African (ESALO) soccer champions. BDF won the title after walloping Malawi Defence Force 5-4 in a post-match penalty shoot out after a scintillating match in Gaborone. Both teams were locked at 1-1 at full time.
