Owners are advised not to let their vehicles be driven away by prospective buyers without getting paid and before transferring car ownership. Some of them never received any payment nor did they see their vehicles again until after a long time.

Several police reports have been lodged alleging vehicles have been taken away without being paid for.

A recent case involved a local man who let his car be driven away by a local buyer, who promised to pay him the next day after he withdrew his savings from the bank.
